Prontera Quest – Army Supply

Overview:

Philippine Ragnarok Online is really making its own share of making Ragnarok localize by introducing daily quests on its servers. The latest daily quest that they have released is the Army Supply Quest. The quest asks you to revive an injured soldier in exchange for experience.  Because of some recent controversies on this quest, I have decided to create this post a little later than its released date. I tried to observe first on how the daily quest really works before I did this post. For the official notice regarding the release of this quest, please refer to the pRO site.

The Army Quest is a Daily Quest so it has the 20 hour cool down before initiating another try on this quest. The starter NPC for this quest is constantly using the “/!” emotion and his name has the prefix [Quest] which allows you to identify him easily. This quest is a part of the Prontera quests in which it requires difficult requirements in order to finish the quest. Performing the Prontera quests on a daily basis will surely drain your resources. Perform the prontera quests when you really need them or you have the capacity to perform them.

Quest Requirement:
Level 61 and up
Yggdrassil Berry or White Potion

Quest Proper:
To start of the Army Quest, Locate [Quest]Army Officer at the Prontera Fountain. He shares the same location with the other Prontera Daily Quests so it’s not hard finding him.

The Army Officer manages the supply donations for the troops that were fighting the minions of Satan Morroc. He noticed you to be a seasoned adventurer and asked your help to spare some of your yggdrassil berry or white potion to be given to the troops. Based on your current level the officer will assign you to a specific injured troop. For adventurers with level ranging from 61 to 80, you are assigned to revive the Injured Recruit using 10 white potions or 1 yggdrassil berry. For adventurers with level ranging from 81 to 97, you are assigned to revive the Injured Veteran using 100 white potions or 2 yggdrassil berry. For adventurers with level 98 and up, you are assigned to revive the Injured Elite using 100 white potion or 3 yggdrassil berry.

Note: Choosing yggdrassil berry will let you gain more experience as compared to white potions.

When you have chosen the item that you wish to donate, travel to Morroc and walk towards the center of the town. At the upper right of the center Kafra, you will notice 3 soldiers lying on the ground asking for help as indicated by their emotion /help. The task is to revive an army officer assigned to your level. The level bracket on this quest is the same level bracket with the Church Donation Quest.

All of these soldiers share the same story on how they have been severely injured because of their fight with Satan Morroc’s Minions. Using the healing item that you have prepared, carefully approach the appropriate officer and give him the healing item. Once you have given the healing item, the soldier will be immediately revived and thank you for help.

Note: If the soldier assigned to you is in “Revived” state, wait a little for the NPC to return to its “Injured” state before talking to him. Talking to the soldier in “Revived” state will not let you proceed with the quest.

After reviving the assigned troop, go back to the Army Officer and tell him that you have successfully revived an Officer. He will then give you an experience based on your level bracket and the 20-hour cool down of the quest will be triggered. For the exact experience gained kindly visit the pRO site.

For more dose of Daily Quests, you may want to visit the other journals that I have created for other Daily Quests.
Prontera Quest – Church Donation

Overview:
The Church Donation Quest is the latest daily quest that Philippine Ragnarok Online has added. The quest has the promise to give a generous amount of experience in exchange to your donation for the church in zeny. Also, this quest only caters to wealthy adventurers who’s level is 60 and above. For the official announcement regarding the release of the quest, please visit the pRO site.

Since Church Donation Quest is a daily quest, it also has the 20hour cool down after you have performed the quest. The NPC continuously express the "/!" emotion. Contrary to the other daily quest, the NPC of this quest doesn’t have any prefix [Quest] on it’s name.

Quest Requirement:
Level 60 and up
40,000z ~ 200,000z

Quest Proper:
The quest is an easy quest. To start with this daily quest, first find the Church Worker NPC located near the Prontera Fountain. The Church Worker is at the upper right part of [Quest] Odin’s Knight, the NPC for the Order of Odin’s daily quest.

Talk to the Church Worker and he will ask you if you could spare some of your wealth by donating to the church. In return, he will be giving you a precious gift. Then he will prompt you with the option of donating or not. If by chance you are an adventurer with a level of below 60, the church worker will refuse to give you the option of donating.

The donation to be given for the church worker is fixed according to your current level. Just like what I have reiterated above, the quest only caters to adventurers whose level is 60 and above.

If you finally choose to donate for the church, you will then receive experience points according to your level. Aside form experience gain you will also be blessed with all food buffs and triggering the 20 hour cool down of the quest. The level of the food buff is also dependent on your level. At the first level bracket it's +5 food buff, the second level bracket it's +6 food buff and the last level bracket it's +7 food buff. An Assumptio-like visual effect will be bestowed upon you as a sign of successfully completing the quest. For the exact experience gain, kindly refer to the pRO site.

Addition: I have performed this quest for sometime but I noticed that there were changes made to this quest. The NPC for this quest is already showing the "/!" emotion. Aside from the food buffs and experience there are items given to questors which varies based on your level bracket. From the information that I have gathered: level 60 to 80 characters receives 1 white potions, level 80 to 96 characters receives 1 blue potion and 97 to 99 characters receives either 1 yggdrasil seed + 2 blue potion or 2 blue potion.

The other daily quest will also help you in gaining more experience. For the other daily quests kindly refer below.
Prontera Quest - Order of Odin

Overview:
Philippine Ragnarok Online had impressed me with the addition of another Daily Quest. This time the Daily Quest NPC is located in Prontera. Although this quest is not for everyone since it only caters to Premium users, It gives a more reason to let us avail of the Premium Service that LU has already released. The quest will also be an additional routine for us on our daily ragnarok life. The official announcement for the release of this quest can viewed at the pRO site.

Quest Requirement:
Avail the Premium Service

Quest Proper:
The Order of Odin Daily Quest is very simple and easy. Just locate the Odin’s Knight near the Prontera Fountain. She is dressed like a Crusader.

Talk to her and tell her that you are going to receive the blessing of Odin. With the light of Odin shining on you, you will be receiving both base and job experience according to your level. The experience gained on this quest depends on your level. If you like to see the exact experience amount, kindly visit the pRO site.

Just like the other Daily Quests, this quest has a 20 hour period cool down. The NPC for this quest is constantly using the emotion “/!” and its name has a prefix of Quest which means she is the starter for the quest.

For the case of non-premium users, even if you attempt to talk to the Quest NPC, It will never prompt an option to receive the blessing of Odin.
Alberta Quest - No more Lonely Knights

Overview:
The Philippine Ragnarok Online has just recently added two daily experience quests. They launched the Alberta Cargo Delivery Quest last February 2009 and followed by No more Lonely Knights Quest last April 2009. Both quests are pRO exclusive but I have read that other locations are looking into adopting these quests for their servers. These quests have 20 hours cool down and it’s repeatable. So in other words, it’s like receiving free experience points on a daily basis. Also as early as level 1 you could already perform this quest but it would be better to perform this quest at a higher level for higher experience gain. Do note that this quest is already permanent!

Why is it called Alberta Quests? because the quest starter on both quests are located in Alberta. They will be using the emoticon “/!” once in a while so you will easily notice them.

I have decided to create a sort of a guide journal about the Alberta Quest because I find it very repetitive in instructing friends who are unfamiliar with this quest. Also if there are other players who are reading my journal entries this will be of great help in informing them that these kind quests exist. These are quests which greatly complement your craving for more experience.

On a side note, the experience given by these quests are further increased with the use of premium service and field manuals. When I mention about field manuals I am referring to the item that increases the received experience points for 30mins. Example of which are Basic Field Manual, Advance Field Manual and others.

Quest Proper:

Precaution: This quest may require you to travel out of Alberta. Prepare some zeny or Free Warp Ticket for your travel.

Prerequisite Quest: Turtle Island Entrance Quest (for the fifth knight only)

This quest is about helping the Message Girl deliver a letter to a specific Knight. The Message Girl is located near the spawn area at the lower kafra of Alberta.

Once you talked to her, she will let you pick a task where you will have to visit a certain Knight. The name and location of the Knight is indicated on the choices. Also the level restriction is also placed there. The level restriction pertains to not allowing a low level character take a higher level task while higher level character you could still select tasks lower than their level. It is recommended to always take the task assigned for your level bracket for higher experience gain.

Side note: Only one task could be selected per day. Once you have selected a task you could no longer change your task for another. Do not spam enter when you talk to her or you might end up taking the lowest task.

The first knight Sir Donovan is located at Alberta Town. You will not have a hard time locating him since he is just at the lower left part of Alberta. Just a little walk then you will see him already. This task is recommended for level1 to level20 characters.

The second knight Sir Richard is located at the Treasure Island as called Sunken Ship. This task will now require you to spend some zeny in order to travel to the Treasure Island. The only route that you could use is to take the Alberta Ship and set sail towards the Treasure Island. Once you have delivered the letter he will reward you with 1 Free Warp Ticket. This task is recommended for level21 to level40 characters.

The third knight Sir Lion is located at Prontera City. He will be hard to find since he will be hiding in the market place. For just a little hint, he is located at the upper left part of the Prontera Market near a girl NPC. This task will require you to spend some zeny or a Free Warp ticket. The easiest route to reach him is thru the Kafra Warp. Once you have delivered the letter he will reward you with 1 Free Warp Ticket. This task is recommended for level41 to level60 characters.

The fourth knight Sir Midetz is located at Izlude Town. This task will require you to spend some zeny or use a Free Warp Ticket. There are two possible short routes that you could choose from in order to reach him. First option is to take the Alberta Ship and set sail to Izlude Town. Second Option is thru Kafra Warp where in you will have to warp at Prontera City then finally to Izlude Town. Just walk towards the top part of Izlude and you will bump on to him. When you talk to him he will reward you with 1 Free Warp Ticket. This task is recommended for level61 to level80.

The fifth knight Sir Grevious is located at the Turtle Islands. This task does not only require you to spend 10,000zeny but also requires you to complete first the Turtle Island Entrance Quest for you to be able to enter the dungeon. There is a big risk of dying here because the Turtle Island surface has a high mob density. A little precaution is needed in order to successfully deliver the letter to Sir Grevious. He will be hiding somewhere at the lower right part of the Turtle Island surface. Another option that could be considered is if you avail the Premium Service, Just talk to the Odin Warp Kafra and tell her to take you to the turtle islands. Walk towards the warp portal for the Turtle Island Surface and then locate Sir Grevious. This method will not require you to do the prerequisite quest. After successfully delivering the letter to Sir Grevious he will reward you with 2 Free Warp Tickets. This task is recommended for lvl81 and above.

After delivering to one of the knights, no need to go back to the Message Girl. The knights will already provide you with the experience gain. But if you tried visiting the Message Girl, she will just orm you that the 20hours cool down has already been triggered.

The No more Lonely Knights Quest provides not only base experience but also job experience. For the exact experience gain you may refer to the pRO site.

Tips:
If you are using AFM during the quest, here are some tips for faster completion of the quest.
• Using increase agility, sprint (for taekwon class only) and other walk speed increasing skill will speed up your quest.
• Using warp portal will definitely cut off your travel time by a half.
• Items like Bloody Axe, Pecopeco Band or other similar items which boost walk speed will surely help and will not eat up your time begging for an Acolyte class to cast increase agility on you.
• Consumables like Guyak Pudding or Speed Potions will greatly increase your move speed but it’s not recommended since it’s costly.
Alberta Quest - Alberta Cargo Delivery

When I mention about field manuals I am referring to the item that increases the received experience points for 30mins. Example of which are Basic Field Manual, Advance Field Manual and others.

Quest Proper:

Precaution: Avoid going near with this Guy because he will pop out a message inviting you to join the Continental Guard Quest. After closing his message it might cause your disconnection from the server. As a precaution keep your distance from him!

The Alberta Cargo Quest basically is a task given by the Port Manager. He will ask for your help to lift crates from a certain location back to him. All crates are located in Alberta so no need to worry on spending some zeny for your transportation. The Port Manager will base the number of crates that you will lift on your current level. The higher level you are the more crates that you will be assigned to lift.

The Port Manager is located near the Premium Warp Kafra in Alberta. Once you talked to him he will immediately ask you if you are interested in helping him out. If you decide to help him he will send you off to the first crate. The first crate is located at the ship at the top left part of Alberta. Once you find the crate, start moving it. If your not that fortunate, the crate might bite you and you will be losing a percentage of your health. But if your lucky enough, a message will tell you that you have moved the crate.

After moving the first crate, return to the Port Manager. He will reward you with 10pcs of Red Potion and a Free Warp Ticket. For those who are level 1 to level 20 you will not be able to continue on with the quest and you will trigger the 20hour quest delay. For the other levels the Port Manager will send you off to the 2nd crate.

The 2nd crate is located between the first seaport and second seaport of Alberta at the right side of the town. Again do note that all crates have the chance of biting you and reducing your life points. If you’re very unlucky the crate might bite you over and over. At worst you will have your life points reduced to 0 but still the crate will be biting you. If you have successfully moved the crate, go back to the Port Manager

The Port Manager will reward you with 5pcs of Orange Potion. For those who are level 21 to level 40, your quest ends here and you will be triggering the 20hours cool down. While for other levels, he will send you to the 3rd crate.

The 3rd crate is located at the second seaport of Alberta. The crate is swimming in the water area just below the second seaport. After successfully moving the crate, go back to the Port Manager.

The Port Manager then will give you 10pcs of Yellow Potion. For those who are level 41 to level 60, you will no longer continue on with the quest and trigger the 20hours cool down for the quest. As for the other levels the Port Manager will send you to the 4th crate.

The 4th crate is located at the third seaport. You will not easily recognize the crate in a normal view because the Moscovia transport NPC is hiding the crate. Just twist your map a little and you will be able to move the crate properly. After moving the crate successfully go back again to the Port Manager.

The Port Manager will give you 10pcs of White Potion. For those who are level 61 to level 80, you will trigger the 20hour cool down while the other levels could still continue on with the quest.

The 5th crate is located at the fourth seaport of Alberta specifically at the lower right part of the map. The crate is near the Louyang transport NPC and Ayothawa transport NPC. When you have successfully moved the crate, go back to the Port Manager.

The Port Manager will reward you with 10pcs of Blue Potion. If you are level81 to level97, you will wait for 20hours in order to perform the quest again. If you level 98 and level99, the Port Manager will send you for the last crate.

The last crate is located at the top middle part of Alberta. You will find the crate just beside an NPC sitting on a table. When you have moved the crate successfully, go back to the Port Manager.

The Port Manager will then give you another 5pcs of Blue Potion and a Yggdrasil seed as a bonus. Then you will trigger the 20hours cool down.

The number of crates you moved determines the experience points that you will gain. This quest only provides base experience. For the exact experience gained you may refer the the pRO site.

Bonus Experience Quest:

~ Customer Service ~

The Customer Service NPC is not actually a quest. I have added this for an additional experience gain for you. First off, try locating the Customer Service NPC located at the Upper mid part of the Prontera Market. It will be very difficult to find her unless you zoom in your view and try to mouse over to the ground. Once you have located her, talk to her then select the last option. The last option is a quiz where in if you answered all questions correctly you will gain an experience points depending on your level plus an additional item for higher level characters.

Side Note: Some of the answers on the questions could be read on the tutorial given by the same NPC though you have a limitless tries for the retake on the quiz. If you have been successful on answering all questions correctly you will no longer have the option to retake the quiz. This is not repeatable! For the details refer to the pRO site.

Alberta Quest!

Alberta Quest - Let's Swab the Deck

Overview:
The Philippine Ragnarok Online has implemented another daily quest last September 2, 2009. It seems pRO is beginning to spice up it’s own servers and giving a unique flavor for Ragnarok thru daily quests. For the official announcement you could check the overhauled pRO site.

Just like the previous Alberta Quests namely Cargo Delivery Quest and No More Lonely Knights Quest, this quest also gives experience for both base and job. It also has a 20hour cool down and the trigger NPC constantly express the /! emotion.

Quest Proper:
In order to start the quest, find First Mate near the Lower Kafra of Albert. It’s easy to recognize him since he looks very worried. Just like the other Alberta quests a [Quest] prefix has been added before its name so that we could identify him as the quest trigger NPC.

When you talk to him, he will ask you to help him catch some Sticky Rats. The Sticky Rats are very unusually strong rats that infested the ship. The crew of the ship tries to kill all the rats but one of the crew almost lost a leg in trying to do so. Then they are now recruiting adventurers who are more experience to kill the Sticky Rats. If you agree to catch Sticky Rats for him, he will immediately give you a Leaf Cat Ball. The leaf cat ball contains a poison that immediately kills the Sticky Rats.

Upon receiving the Leaf Cat Ball, You must walk towards the ship in Alberta located at the upper right part of the town. The ship seems to have no problem in the outside. But upon entering the rooms inside the ship you will be surprise on the large number of Sticky Rats on the floor.

Select one Sticky Rat and try to lower its health. Sticky Rats seems to have a plant attribute where in all attacks are reduce to 1 and also when they fight back they also inflicts 1 damage so it will be easy for you to capture one. When you are confident enough to capture a Sticky Rat, simple double click the Leaf Cat Ball and a taming slot machine will appear.

If you are lucky enough you will capture the Sticky Rat immediately. But incase you fail you will talk again to First Mate and ask for a Leaf Cat Ball. After a successful capture you will receive a Mystic Leaf Cat Ball.

After receiving the Mystic Leaf Cat Ball, talk to First Mate again to exchange the Mystic Leaf Cat Ball to with a Shiny Bead. Upon receiving the Shiny Bead you will trigger the 20hours cool down of the quest.

Rewards:
Previously [Quest] First Mate is offering 2 rewards for this quest. Exchange a Shiny Bead for 2 Blue Potions or Accumulate 30 pieces of Shiny Bead to exchange it for Voyage Hat. An additional NPC named [Quest] Second Mate has been added cater more rewards for this quest. There are lots of headgears has already been added and there might be more to come.

Exchange 30 beads for Voyage Hat.

Exchange 50 beads for Sailor's Hat [1]

Exchange 50 beads for Sea Cat Hat[1]

Exchange 50 beads for Navy Blue Beret
